Medley She Cries by John K. Terwilliger

rain fingers midnight back of alleys
fogged out
drizzle stretched streets

lights attack with precisioned abruptness
a collision
a catas
trophe
a smooth
violent
wind

sirens scream the night
senses vibrate waves
bazaar creature lashes horses
fenetic delight
fondling reins to moistness

frost-bitten
frigid
coursed with fear

Nymph
ice pick in breast
bounces
among
the
blocks

blood coagulating: clots
vacant phantom dresses hungry loins
he's laughing

a cry
a repetitious wandering
a plea for mercy
a seeking of fatigue

silence
not a breath but
for the breeze
not an ache but
for the trees

an echo
a reflection
why don't you just goddamn stop
