Sheridan Bushnell Biography - Journey of a Mystic
Sheridan Bushnell is founder of Sonorous Press and Spirit Speaks, an inspirational products company. A dynamic, powerful, and entertaining speaker, Sheridan inspires her audiences to step into their strength, gather their courage and live passionate and fulfilling lives. Using her poetry, parables natural storytelling ability and sense of humor, she easily opens hearts and minds to create powerful and lasting personal change.

Sometimes great inspiration and courage comes from deep experiences and wounds. Sheridan literally walked through her “dark night of the soul” experience amidst excruciating physical and emotional pain. Thes experiences have totally revolutionized her life. Through chaos, she has discovered her deep spiritual core and creative voice. In 1990 experienced the rapid onset of a debilitating arthritic condition and emergency heart surgery in l999. Sheridan founded Spirit Speaks an inspirational t-shirt company, published five books, been featured in the labyrinth film “Dancing The Dream Awake” sponsored by UNESCO and the North Carolina Film Foundation. Sheridan who has Mercury conjunct Chiron in Scorpio now speaks on the sweetness of surrender and the healing power of dis-ease, and has just put together a performance poetry show entitled Untamed – Women of the New Millennium.
Sheridan who has Mars in Leo all about empowerment! In fact she has created a motivational talk and poetry performance show with a complementary workshop Stepping Into Your Power that revitalizes and invigorates women to dare to create passionate and meaningful lives.

Sheridan was a featured poet at Canada’s Ottawa International Literary Festival in 2000 and was a catalyst and key contributor in the UNESCO film “Dancing The Dream Awake.” Her poetry has appeared in the collection “Poets for Peace,” at the University of North Carolina’s Ackland Art Museum, Elizabeth Kubler Ross’s newsletter and in “The Ways Of The Healer Journal” of the California Pacific Medical Center, recently granted the distinction of America’s Healthiest Hospital by Natural Health Magazine.

Her first book “Stepping Into The Circle – Healing Parables For A New Century” examines and provides antidotes to the cultural scripts that limit our lives. A collection of deceptively simple and wonderfully entertaining parables, address the cultural scripts of competition, materialism, workaholism,denial, and total reliance on the intellect at the expense of the heart and spirit. This masterful work has often been compared by her readers and audiences to the voice of the renowned poet/philosopher Khalil Gibran.

Many readers have found Sheridan's book of mystical poetry “Where Imagination Meets Infinity” reminiscent of the l4th century Sufi poet, Rumi. . H.T. Halman, Professor of Alternative Religion at Duke University describes this work as: "A collection of mystical poetry that “achieves an extraordinary balance between the farthest reaches of Spirit and the closest attention to the passion and power of ordinary experience.
